POSITION OVERVIEW

The Facilities Technician is the unsung hero behind the flawless look and feel of our stores in Orange County. You’ll perform essential repairs and maintenance, using your expertise in plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and carpentry to uphold our high brand standards for safety, functionality, and aesthetics. Reporting to the Facilities Manager, you’ll collaborate with the Construction, Design, and Operations teams to ensure optimal operational efficiency and technical performance, creating a sophisticated, fun, and welcoming environment for our clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Utilize the work order management system, OpenWrench, to evaluate reactive work orders, execute standardized procedures for timely response/completion of repairs, and document all activities.
2. Maintain and repair facilities, fixtures & equipment using multiple craft skills (plumbing, electrical, mechanical, carpentry) with hand tools, power tools, and other equipment.
3. Consistently survey salons and perform repairs to ensure they meet our brand standards.
4. Perform maintenance of MEP systems, such as replacing light bulbs and HVAC filters.
5. Conduct general upkeep procedures and other tasks as assigned, including painting and carpentry.
6. Provide prompt responses to emergency maintenance calls.
7. Inspect, operate, or test equipment, systems, or fixtures to diagnose and identify issues.
8. Coordinate with specialized subcontractors for repairs beyond individual capabilities.
9. Assist and support the Facilities Manager in troubleshooting and resolving issues across technical platforms like access control, security cameras, internet, phones, and computers.
10. Maintain communication with the facilities team, landlords, and store + region-level management, obtaining necessary approvals from internal and external stakeholders.
11. Complete all required training to safely operate equipment and tools.

SKILLS WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

1. Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn, understand, and communicate brand standards to the physical stores.
2. Excellent written and verbal communicator with interpersonal skills.
3. Proven experience as a maintenance technician with proficiency in hand and electrical tools.
4. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and finish schedules.
5. Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
6. Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
7. Good physical stamina and dexterity.
8. Competent in using management software, Gmail, and Google Docs.
