Job summary

Electroimpact is seeking an experienced Facilities Technician to maintain our Washington-based facilities, including offices and shop floors. You will perform preventive maintenance, identify safety issues, and support the Facilities Lead to keep operations running smoothly.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, minimum two years in facilities maintenance, and the ability to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and operate forklifts or aerial lifts.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications in a facilities management or related field is a plus.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in facilities maintenance, building systems, or a related role.
  • Experience with project management and strong problem-solving/analysis skills.
  • Strong employee and vendor-focused mindset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs unassisted; stand/walk; climb ladders; operate forklifts and aerial lifts.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks across assembly floors, offices and the overall facility
  • Identify and report defective materials or unsafe conditions within the facility
  • Maintain a clean, organized work environment, adhering to safety standards and regulations
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on machinery, building systems, and grounds as needed
  • Assist the Facilities Lead with various maintenance tasks and special projects as assigned

Job description

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Facilities Technician to join our team. The Facilities Technician will be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of our facilities, ensuring smooth operations and a safe working environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, effective organizational skills, and the ability to follow both verbal and written directions. They should also demonstrate strong problem-solving capabilities.

Work will be conducted in both office and shop environments, with regular exposure to dust, odors, oils, fumes, cleaning chemicals, noise and outdoor elements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks across assembly floors, offices and the overall facility

  • Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel, reach overhead, bend, kneel and lift 50 lbs. unassisted
  • Ability to climb ladders and operate forklifts, aerial lifts (with foot controls), and other equipment
  • Proficient in the use of hand and power tools, including vibratory tasks, with fine manipulation and keyboard dexterity
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check and drug screen

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Occasional after-hours or on-call work as needed

  • Pay: $21 - $23 / hour DOE
