Job summary

HomeSafe Florida is seeking a Facilities Technician to perform general maintenance for facilities, grounds and vehicles. You will respond to work orders, inspect areas for safety, and carry out preventive and corrective repairs while keeping a clean, safe workspace.

The role supports events and donation handling, tracks orders, and ensures OSHA standards are followed. Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, two years in facility maintenance or construction, a valid Florida driver's

• Two years of facility maintenance or construction experience required.
• Valid Florida driver's license.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Background check clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and complete facility maintenance work orders, including emergencies.
• Inspect facilities, grounds, and vehicles for safety and maintenance needs.
• Perform preventative maintenance and corrective repairs while maintaining clean, safe work areas.
• Assist with special events, organizational activities, and the pickup and storage of donated items.
• Track work orders, procure necessary supplies, and follow OSHA standards.

Here's What The Job Involves

• Respond to and complete facility maintenance work orders, including emergency requests as assigned.
• Conduct routine inspections of facilities, grounds, and vehicles to identify and address maintenance or safety concerns.
• Perform preventative maintenance and corrective repairs while maintaining clean, safe work areas.
• Assist with special events, organizational activities, and the pickup and storage of donated items.
• Track work orders, purchase necessary supplies and materials, and follow OSHA and workplace safety standards.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Applicants should have at minimum a high school diploma or GED
• Two (2) years experience in facility maintenance and/or construction required.
• A valid Florida's driver's license is required
• Be 21 years or older
• Successful completion of a background check through Clearinghouse (learn more)
