Job summary

Crawford Electric Supply in Katy, TX is seeking a Maintenance Custodian/Facilities Technician to support daily facility operations. You will perform janitorial duties, light maintenance, set up for meetings, and help ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained work environment across sites.

The role requires physical stamina, ability to lift, and reliable teamwork in a fast-paced environment, with attention to safety and asset protection.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic math skills required.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and bend for long periods.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience using cleaning equipment and cleaning solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Perform facility maintenance such as light plumbing, bulbs, carpentry, painting.
  • Maintain property through janitorial duties: cleaning, sweeping, mops, and vacuuming.
  • Grounds maintenance: sweeping, landscaping, and related tasks.
  • Set up/tear down for group meetings.
  • Check facilities for safety hazards and report deficiencies.
  • Ensure windows/entrances are secured after shifts.
  • Regular maintenance of property (pest control, alarm systems).
  • Move furniture and supplies as needed.
  • Clean restrooms and restock supplies.
  • Notify managers about repairs or additions to building systems.
  • Dispose trash properly.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the performance of facility maintenance such as light plumbing, changing of light bulbs and ballasts, carpentry, painting, and other repairs at all assigned sites.
  • Responsible for maintaining the property through janitorial duties i.e. cleaning, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming of facilities.
  • Responsible for grounds maintenance to include sweeping, landscaping, and other work at site.
  • Assist with set-up/tear-down of tables and chairs for group meetings.
  • Assist in checking facilities for safety hazards and report any deficiencies.
  • Ensure all windows and entrances/exits are secured at end of work shift.
  • Conduct regular maintenance of property such as pest control, alarm system, etc.
  • Responsible for moving of furniture and supplies when needed.
  • Clean restrooms, restock paper and soap supplies.
  • Clean windows, mirrors, and partitions.
  • Manage inventory of cleaning supplies.
  • Notify managers regarding the need for repairs or additions to building operating systems.
  • Empty trash receptacles, dispose trash into trash compactors/dumpsters for proper disposal.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
