Job summary

Crawford Electric Supply, a member of the Sonepar group, is seeking a Maintenance Custodian/Facilities Technician to maintain facilities across sites in the Southeast US. Join a team focused on reliability, safety, and a positive work environment.

You will perform light plumbing, lighting maintenance, janitorial duties, grounds work, setup for events, safety checks, and inventory management, with a focus on keeping our facilities clean, safe, and functional.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic math skills and ability to perform physical tasks.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift heavy objects.
  • Experience using cleaning equipment and cleaning solutions.
  • Flexibility for long hours and variable shifts.
  • Ability to work inventory counts and in extreme temperatures.
  • Comfortable working in dusty conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Perform facility maintenance such as light plumbing, lighting, carpentry, painting, and repairs.
  • Maintain the property with janitorial duties: cleaning, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming.
  • Perform grounds maintenance including landscaping and site upkeep.
  • Set up/tear down for group meetings and events.
  • Check facilities for safety hazards and report deficiencies.
  • Ensure windows/entrances are secured at end of shift.
  • Conduct routine property maintenance such as pest control and alarm systems.
  • Move furniture and supplies as needed.
  • Restock restrooms and clean windows, mirrors, and partitions.
  • Manage cleaning supplies inventory and coordination.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the performance of facility maintenance such as light plumbing, changing of light bulbs and ballasts, carpentry, painting, and other repairs at all assigned sites.
  • Responsible for maintaining the property through janitorial duties i.e. cleaning, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming of facilities.
  • Responsible for grounds maintenance to include sweeping, landscaping, and other work at site.
  • Assist with set-up/tear-down of tables and chairs for group meetings.
  • Assist in checking facilities for safety hazards and report any deficiencies.
  • Ensure all windows and entrances/exits are secured at end of work shift.
  • Conduct regular maintenance of property such as pest control, alarm system, etc.
  • Responsible for moving of furniture and supplies when needed.
  • Clean restrooms, restock paper and soap supplies.
  • Clean windows, mirrors, and partitions.
  • Manage inventory of cleaning supplies.
  • Notify managers regarding the need for repairs or additions to building operating systems.
  • Empty trash receptacles, dispose trash into trash compactors/dumpsters for proper disposal.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

  • Long and varied hours required occasionally
  • Ability to work mandatory physical inventory

  • Ability to work in dusty conditions
