Job summary

Qualifications

• 1 year of building maintenance experience or related field.
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration and general facility maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and general building repairs.
• Troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, A/C, refrigeration, ventilation, pumps and other facility systems.
• Assist with maintenance of commercial kitchen equipment and appliances.
• Respond to maintenance requests and determine necessary repairs.
• Inspect equipment and identify potential issues or safety concerns.
• Keep tools, equipment, parts and inventory organized.
• Complete service documentation and maintenance records.
• Follow safety procedures including Lockout/Tagout requirements.
• Respond to facility issues and emergency maintenance as needed.

A well-established local retail and grocery organization is seeking a hands-on Facilities Technician to support maintenance and repairs across multiple locations. What You’ll Be Doing:

• Perform preventative maintenance and general building repairs
• Troubleshoot plumbing, electrical, A/C, refrigeration, ventilation, pumps, and other facility systems
• Assist with maintenance of commercial kitchen equipment and appliances
• Respond to maintenance requests and determine necessary repairs
• Inspect equipment and identify potential issues or safety concerns
• Maintain tools, equipment, parts, and maintenance inventory
• Complete service documentation and maintenance records
• Follow proper safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout requirements
• Respond to facility issues and emergency maintenance needs as required

What We’re Looking For:

• Minimum 1 year of building maintenance experience
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, A/C, refrigeration, and general facility maintenance
• Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills
• Valid Hawaii Driver’s License with a clean driving abstract
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to work independently and stay organized
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, or holidays when needed
• HVAC, OSHA, facilities maintenance, or related certifications are a plus
