The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and strong communication and organizational skills. This is a full-time position with daytime hours and potential overtime.

Responsibilities

• Maintain logs, perform janitorial duties, and ensure regulatory documentation.

Job Description

Eurofins Agroscience Services is searching for a Facilities Technician to work with our Operations team in Easton, MD.

Facilities Technician responsibilities include:

• Assist scientists and other laboratory employees in the general day-to-day operation of the laboratory equipment.
• Maintains storage (organize and inventory), ensures equipment/supplies are available and in good working order.
• Maintain, repair, and troubleshooting laboratory equipment.
• Set up rooms and test units for studies.
• May handle regulated materials, potential biohazard materials, and toxic chemicals using proper labeling and dilution.
• Perform grounds maintenance including, but not limited to, mowing, removal of leaves, landscape maintenance, snow and ice removal, maintenance of driveways and parking areas.
• Assist with janitorial duties including, but not limited to, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, cleaning, sanitizing, restocking supplies, emptying trashcans, and maintaining janitorial equipment.
• Completes cleaning, maintenance, and assigned tasks as directed by supervisor.
• Communicates effectively and regularly with supervisor regarding timelines, project completion, and any issues that may arise.
• Completes documentation legibly, timely, and accurately according to all regulatory requirements.
• Maintains and completes equipment logbooks.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
• Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies

Basic Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver's License
• Solid organizational skills.
• Good customer service.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Additional Information

Position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm, with overtime as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Easton, MD are encouraged to apply.
