Job summary

ABM Industries is seeking a motivated Facilities Technician in Dallas to support mission-critical infrastructure for a leading client in eMobility. Responsibilities include handyman tasks, basic plumbing, HVAC support, and strong liaison with occupants and vendors.

The role requires 2+ years in a similar environment, familiarity with CMMS (Corrigo/ServiceNow), and a customer-focused mindset to meet SLAs. Competitive hourly pay and a comprehensive benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar environment or facility management setting.
• Basic knowledge of general maintenance tasks and hand tools.
• Familiarity with work order systems (Corrigo, ServiceNow, or similar).
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with facility managers, engineers, contractors, and vendors.
• Customer-focused mindset and commitment to meeting SLAs.

Responsibilities

• Perform general handyman tasks (patch and paint walls, install corner guards and kick plates, replace ceiling tiles, basic carpentry repairs and/or repair or replace carpet, hang/install pictures, electronics, and anchors, door repairs, exterior pressure washing).
• Conduct basic plumbing repairs (unclog sinks/toilets, replace flush sensors, faucets).
• Support engineering team (HVAC filter replacement, lighting maintenance, inventory management and restocking supplies).
• Engage with building occupants regarding repairs and ticket updates.
• Escort vendors and assist with event setup/furniture moves as needed.
• Respond promptly to facility emergencies, spills, leaks, hazards, and other urgent conditions.
• Assess problems, troubleshoot equipment or facility issues, and take corrective action within scope of role.
• Escalate issues with details, next steps, and urgency when more support is required.
• Support emergency cleanup and recovery to restore safe operations.
• Complete work orders accurately, safely, and within service expectations.
• Perform routine inspections and address concerns before they become larger issues.
• Assist with housekeeping and general facility needs when needed.
• Maintain tools, spaces, and work zones in clean, orderly condition.
• Coordinate with facility leaders, vendors, and other teams to resolve issues efficiently.
• Communicate status, risks, delays, and completed work clearly.

Overview

ABM is seeking a motivated Facilities Technician to join our growing team and support mission-critical infrastructure for a leading client in the eMobility industry. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a handyman skillset, familiarity with basic hand tools, and experience using CMMS or work order systems (such as Corrigo or ServiceNow).

Compensation: $28.00 - $36.00 per hour pay rate (U.S. Dollars)

• Identifying recurring problems and recommending improvements that increase safety, reliability, efficiency, or service quality.

• Supporting a safe, clean, reliable, and client-ready environment at all times.
