Facilities Technician

Job Type: Full-time

The Facilities Technician will focus on preventative maintenance, scheduling of repairs, and site visits to Indiana-based properties. They will collaborate with the AVP of Property Management to recommend repairs based on department and company goals, oversee repairs in a timely fashion, and communicate progress to ensure staff and tenants are not heavily impacted.

Responsibilities

• Oversee preventive maintenance, scheduling of repairs, and inspections.
• Apply knowledge and experience in HVAC, electrical, or plumbing systems.
• Maintain organized and shareable records.
• Update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Respond to helpdesk tickets according to established Service Level Expectations.
• Review Building Management System (BMS) daily and report issues or concerns to management.
• Conduct routine and scheduled property walks.
• Assist with event set‑ups and company amenity needs.
• Perform routine visits to all Indiana locations.

Requirements

• Associate’s Degree preferred or 4 years of relevant experience in Facilities management.
• Technical certifications for HVAC are preferred.
• Experience in Building Management Systems, plumbing, and electrical is required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong client relations and customer‑service orientation.
• Ability to think quickly when unexpected challenges arise while multitasking other duties.
• Availability to occasionally work extended hours to meet altered timelines or events.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Current location within a commutable distance of Carmel, IN.
