Job summary

Silver Tree Residential, LLC is seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician for Our Lady of the Lake Apartments in Baton Rouge, LA. Join a senior-living community of 255 homes and support the Director in maintenance, repairs, and capital improvements.

You will work with residents and vendors, perform preventive maintenance on HVAC systems and appliances, assist in make-ready of vacant units, and uphold high standards of safety and quality with your own tools.

Qualifications

• Manage maintenance-related and capital improvement activities on the property.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment per director guidance.
• Interact effectively with supervisors, residents, vendors, and coworkers.
• Complete work orders promptly and efficiently.
• Knowledge of HVAC, appliances, stoves, dishwashers, disposals, and refrigerators; basic electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.
• Assist in the make-ready process for vacant apartments with timeliness and attention to detail.
• Prior property maintenance experience preferred.
• Must have own tools.

Maintenance Technician

Silver Tree Residential, LLC is looking for a dependable, quality-focused, and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our growing team at our newly acquired property, Our Lady of the Lake Apartments. This senior-living apartment community is comprised of 255 independent senior-living apartment homes in Baton Rouge, LA. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the prompt and efficient performance of all tasks assigned by the Community Director and/or Maintenance Director and for continuous self-improvement of skills and expertise. We are looking for a reliable team member who is willing to uphold our community to the highest standards.

Summary Of Requirements

• Working with Directors in managing all maintenance-related and capital improvement activities within an assigned property.
• Inspecting, scheduling, and performing routine preventive maintenance on all appropriate equipment as necessary or as directed by the Directors.
• Capable of dealing effectively with supervisors, residents, vendors, and co-workers.
• Satisfying work orders promptly and efficiently.
• Working knowledge of HVAC systems and various appliances, stoves, dishwashers, disposals, and refrigerators. Some familiarity with electricity, plumbing, and carpentry is required.
• Assist in the make ready process of vacant apartments to get them ready for new move-ins in a timely and detail-oriented manner.
• Prior property maintenance experience is preferred.
• Must have his/her own tools.

Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 3 years property maintenance experience. It is essential that the Facilities Technician report to work at his/her regularly scheduled work hours and have the physical capability to walk all around the property (including stairs), lift heavy items, and otherwise perform a variety of physical tasks regularly and as needed.
