We are looking for an experienced Facilities Technician to lead our regional teams in maintaining the safety and aesthetics of their schools. Our responsibility is to ensure our facilities and grounds provide a safe environment. Title: Facilities Director
Description: The Facilities Director requires comprehensive knowledge of safety protocols and agency regulations related to maintenance, construction, and remodeling of facilities and grounds. Strong leadership, supervisory skills, project management expertise, and multi-site, multi-state management experience are essential. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are expected to manage a team of internal maintenance staff and external vendors and contractors. Responsibilities include hiring and overseeing vendors, supervising construction/remodeling, implementing safety protocols, and performing safety checks for all facilities.
Essential duties include but are not limited to:
Job status: Full-time, Exempt. Employees are paid an annual salary, not eligible for overtime. Expect a 40-hour workweek, Monday to Friday.
Location: Maryland, with travel between regional sites as needed.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Maintenance management, or related field, with at least 3 years of progressive experience and multi-state supervisory experience.
Physical/environmental: Must be able to stand, bend, climb, lift at least 50 lbs, and use typical maintenance tools. Reasonable accommodations available.
