Job summary

HireArt is assisting a client in recruiting a Facilities Technician to join the maintenance team in Austin, TX. The role covers repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting to keep building systems safe and functional.

You will perform multi-trades work, routine preventive maintenance, and security hardware upkeep, with potential travel between sites. This is a full-time, 6-month onsite assignment for local candidates.

• Strong understanding of workplace safety protocols and OSHA requirements.

• Dependable, self-motivated, able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to travel between multiple job sites, if required.
• Valid driver's license if travel between sites is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform general repair and troubleshooting across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry.
• Conduct routine preventative maintenance on building systems, fixtures, and equipment.
• Operate ladders, power tools, and diagnostic instruments safely.
• Interpret and work from basic blueprints and building schematics.
• Install, maintain, and repair locks and door hardware for security.
• Perform light electrical tasks: replace outlets, switches, ballasts, and light fixtures.
• Address basic plumbing issues: unclog drains, repair leaks, replace fixtures.

Job description

HireArt is helping our client find a skilled and reliable Facilities Technician to join its maintenance team.

In this role, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting tasks to ensure the safety, functionality, and cleanliness of building systems and facilities.

As a Facilities Technician, you'll:

• Perform general repair and troubleshooting across multiple trades, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry.
• Conduct routine preventative maintenance on building systems, fixtures, and equipment.
• Operate various tools and equipment, including ladders, power tools, and diagnostic instruments, in a safe and effective manner.

• Perform light electrical tasks, such as replacing outlets, switches, ballasts, and light fixtures.
