Job summary

Georgia Power, a subsidiary of Southern Company, seeks a Facilities Technology & Space Planning Manager to lead technology governance, space planning, and AV systems across multiple sites. This role reports to Facilities Director and requires office presence at the HQ in Atlanta, GA with occasional travel.

Responsibilities include developing the Facilities technology Roadmap, aligning standards, and enabling data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in various Southern Company business units preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years of formal leadership experience.
• Understanding of AV systems and technology integration.
• Understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements (asset transfers, accounting procedures, etc.).
• Excellent project management and organizational skills.
• Ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Technology Strategy & Governance: Develop and oversee Facilities technology Roadmap.
• Lead readiness and change management for roadmap execution.
• Establish technology standards, governance, data management, and system administration.
• Evaluate emerging technologies to support digital transformation initiatives.
• Lead long-term planning for Facilities technology investments and enhancements.
• Space Planning & Governance: Develop and implement space planning strategies aligned to goals.
• Oversee space utilization policies and AV systems, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
• Coordinate with Facilities AV and Move teams, cost analyst, and archivist.
