Job summary

Chart, Inc. in Beasley, TX is seeking a Facilities Tech I to ensure safe, efficient operation of building systems including electrical, plumbing and HVAC.

You’ll perform routine inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance across a busy manufacturing site. Ideal candidates have at least 2 years in manufacturing, hands-on experience with tools, and the ability to work independently or with a team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in manufacturing setting.
  • Minimum of 2-year working knowledge of hand and power tool usage and safety.
  • Machine operations, welding processes a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains and repairs buildings including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and structural systems.
  • Collaborates with specialized contractors for complex repairs.
  • Replaces worn parts and components in equipment used within the Facility.
  • Performs routine inspections of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and structural systems to identify issues and prevent malfunctions.
  • Conducts preventive maintenance such as changing filters, repairing leaks, replacing light bulbs, and servicing equipment.

A Facilities Technician ensures the safe, efficient, and well-maintained operation of building systems, performing routine inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance of high-quality, HVAC, plumbing, and structural systems.

What Will You Do?

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Maintains and repairs buildings: areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, landscaping, painting, cleaning, appliances, utilities, fencing/gates, and fire systems

Collaborating with specialized contractors or technicians for complex repairs when necessary

Replaces worn or damaged parts such as hoses, wiring, and belts, in machines and equipment such as trucks, tractors, lawn mowers and other equipment used within the Facility department

Performing routine inspections of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and structural systems to identify potential issues and prevent malfunctions

Conducting preventive maintenance such as changing filters, repairing leaks, replacing light bulbs, and servicing equipment

Requirements - Must be able to do the following:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively to understand safety instructions, work procedures, and job related communications
Your Physical Work Environment Will Require...

PPE required daily

Lifting or carrying up to 50 lbs.

Frequent sitting, standing, stooping, bending, twisting, walking, climbing and occasional crawling

Frequent pushing, pulling and handling of material

Occasional climbing and working at elevated positions

Your Experience Should Be...

Minimum of 2 years' experience in manufacturing setting

Minimum of 2-year working knowledge of hand and power tool usage and safety.

Machine operations, welding processes a plus.
