Job summary

Es Vedra Cinemas in Humble, TX is seeking a Facilities Tech to maintain the theater’s audio-visual experience and overall venue reliability. This role covers arcade game maintenance, bowling equipment, and general facility upkeep to ensure guest satisfaction.

You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot a variety of systems, document activities, and support events while upholding safety standards and procedures.

Qualifications

• Strong technical and mechanical skills required.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC is essential.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities are needed.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are important.
• Basic computer skills for managing maintenance records are expected.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on arcade games.
• Ensure all games and systems are functioning properly and safely.
• Check bowling lanes, pinsetters, ball returns, and scoring systems; address issues promptly.
• Perform basic building maintenance (plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry).
• Set up and troubleshoot audio-visual equipment for events and presentations.
• Assist with event prep and execution; follow safety protocols and local codes.

Job Description

Facilities Tech is responsible for providing and maintaining a quality presentation of the audio-visual experience for our theaters. Ensuring that the bowling and gaming area are operating at the highest level of efficiency. And general maintenance of the entire facility.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform regular maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a variety of arcade games.
• Ensure all games are functioning properly and safely.
• Conduct routine checks and repairs on bowling lanes, pinsetters, ball returns, and scoring systems.
• Address any technical issues promptly to minimize downtime.
• Perform basic building maintenance tasks such as plumbing, electrical work, painting, and carpentry. Ensure all facilities are in good working order.
• Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot audio-visual equipment for presentations and events.
• Assist with the technical aspects of event preparation and execution.
• Follow all safety protocols and regulations. Ensure that all maintenance work is conducted safely and in compliance with local building codes.
• Develop and implement a preventative maintenance schedule for all equipment and facilities.
• Keep detailed records of maintenance activities.
• Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and parts.
• Work closely with other team members and departments to support overall facility operations.
• Interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Address any facility-related issues or concerns promptly and effectively.
• Be prepared to respond quickly to emergencies, such as equipment failures or safety hazards, to ensure guest and staff safety.
• Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

• Availability to work during holidays, nights, and weekends with increased hours during peak times

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of standing, walking, climbing stairs
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times
• Able to work in confined spaces
• Able to work in an environment with flashing lights, loud noise and repetitive motion
• Able to work in high places
