Job summary

Fitness Central in Chattanooga is seeking a reliable cleaning associate to maintain spotless facilities, including locker rooms, fitness floor, studios, and pool. You will wipe down equipment daily, deep clean locker rooms, and stock towels and supplies as needed.

Applicants should be comfortable with standing for long shifts, loading/unloading washers, lifting up to 40 lbs, and performing various physical tasks. A positive attitude and respectful interaction with members are essential.

Qualifications

• No degree required.
• Must have a strong work ethic and demonstrate a strong sense of integrity.
• Must be able to communicate, show respect, and interact well with others, including team members, third parties and members.
• Must be able to stand for most of the shift.
• Must be able to load/unload washer/dryers.
• Must be able to move objects up to 40lbs.
• Must be able to perform all essential physical aspects of the position which may include standing, sitting, walking, squatting, bending and reaching.

Responsibilities

• Keep our facilities clean, including locker rooms, fitness floor, studios, pool, etc., maintained and well organized.
• Wipes down equipment in assigned sections daily.
• Deep cleans locker rooms nightly on closing shifts and maintains cleanliness throughout the day.
• Ensure towels and locker rooms are stocked to the best of your ability throughout shift.
• Thoroughly cleaning, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, sanitizing, wiping down and restocking.
• Interact and engage with our members professionally and with authenticity.
• Prioritize work tasks based on classes and business needs.
• Bring a positive mindset and attitude.
• Anticipate facility needs through training, experience, and asking questions.
• Communicate with facilities manager regarding time off, cleaning procedures, potential repairs, lost items, and any questions that may come up.
