Job summary

NeighborHealth seeks a Facilities Maintenance Supervisor to lead our maintenance team across all locations. You will oversee HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and safety programs, and develop preventive maintenance plans.

The role requires technical knowledge, strong supervision, and coordination with contractors and vendors. Reporting to the Facilities Director, you will manage on-site staff, respond to emergencies 24/7, and contribute to long-range facility upgrades while emphasizing

Qualifications

• Technical training and/or at least five years’ of building maintenance experience.
• Extensive knowledge of HVAC (including RTUs, exhaust fans and other air quality/comfort control equipment), carpentry, plumbing, electrical.
• Excellent supervisory and organizational skills.
• Knowledge and experience with Building Management Systems (BMS).
• Knowledge of materials, methods, terminology, equipment used in the maintenance, repair, and construction of building structures and systems including those used in performing rough and finished carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and painting work.
• Knowledge of office procedures, equipment including computers and applicable software applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
• Knowledge of safety standards and regulations, Joint Commission, NFPA, OSHA, EPA and other local/state regulations.
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings, plans and specifications.
• Demonstrate and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
• Time management skills, as well as verbal and written communications skills, are required.

Responsibilities

• Under general direction, organize and participate, as a working supervisor of facility maintenance staff, in executing work orders and completing projects involving NeighborHealth properties.
• Oversee building systems and equipment to ensure proper functioning (i.e., HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.)
• Coordinate necessary work with contractors, vendors and Departmental personnel.
• Provide technical assistance to the Facilities Director and others.
• Respond to and supervise responses to emergency calls twenty-four hours a day /seven days per week.
