Job summary

LifeSouth Community Blood Centers, Inc. in Mobile, AL seeks a Facilities and Supplies Specialist to maintain the facility and grounds, manage supplies, and coordinate vendor work. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and a valid driver's license.

Two years of facilities experience are preferred, with CDL preferred. This is a full-time, on-site position with benefits including PTO, health insurance, and retirement plan options.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Must have a valid driver's license and meet LifeSouth driving eligibility.
• Experience using floor care machines and related equipment.
• Ability to read safety rules and maintenance instructions.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
• Two years of facilities experience preferred.
• CDL preferred.
• Knowledge of building and grounds maintenance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect facility and grounds daily for cleanliness and safety.
• Make repair and maintenance recommendations to Regional Manager.
• Coordinate and monitor vendor work and ensure proper billing.
• Oversee ordering, receiving and expensing activities for the district.
• Prepare weekly/monthly inventory counts and reconcile inventory.
• Prepare supplies for blood drives.
• Inspect vehicles and perform cleaning as needed.
