Job summary

Uline is seeking an Assistant Facilities Manager at its Pleasant Prairie Distribution Center to oversee maintenance, security, grounds and custodial teams and to manage inspections and field work.

The role emphasizes hands-on supervision, coordinating with vendors, preparing reports, and ensuring a safe, well-maintained facility that employees are proud to work in; hours are Monday to Friday 8:00–4:30 with some evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2+ years of management or leadership experience.
• Experience with MEP, landscaping, HVAC, electrical systems.
• Assist with maintenance work.
• Available for after-hours and weekend on-call services as needed.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily activities of teams including maintenance, security, grounds and custodial workers.
• Assign duties in carpentry, electrical, painting, plumbing, HVAC, roofing and security.
• Routinely inspect buildings, sites and equipment for needed repair and respond to emergency maintenance requests as required.
• Work with vendors and oversee execution of contracted services.
• Maintain records and prepare reports for management review, including work orders, staffing reports and audits.
