Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat is seeking a 2nd shift Operations Supervisor in New London, CT for the Facilities trade organization. This role covers the D501 Supervisor for Transfer Cars and MIP equipment and oversees maintenance machinists and electronics mechanics, scheduling daily workloads using CMMS, and ensuring timely work orders.

• 5+ years’ experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining hydraulic systems/equipment.
• Minimum 1 year facilities maintenance trade experience at electric boat
• Minimum of 3 year facilities maintenance experience and leadership experience in a high-volume setting
• Minimum of 1 year EB experience and an Engineering degree in a related field
• EB or trade supervision is a plus
• 5+ years’ experience working in facility maintenance
• Basic electrical experience a plus

2nd shift Operations Supervisor position is for the Facilities trade organization. This position is for the D501 Supervisor for Transfer Cars and MIP equipment which consists of Maintenance Machinists, and Electronics Mechanics. This will consist of developing and scheduling daily/weekly workloads using CMMS, completing work orders in a timely manner, maintaining safety (JHA) and training programs, conducting preventative maintenance program of submarine transfer cars and utilizing process improvement programs. Applicant will also be required to work with outside contractors and support other Facilities and Operations organizations to complete job tasks.

Qualifications

Experience

• High School diploma or GED
• 5+ years’ experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining hydraulic systems/equipment

Must Meet One Of The Following

• Minimum 1 year facilities maintenance trade experience at electric boat
