Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat in Groton, CT, is seeking a 2nd shift Operations Supervisor for the Facilities trade organization, supervising Transfer Cars and MIP equipment with Maintenance Machinists and Electronics Mechanics. You will develop and schedule daily/weekly workloads using CMMS and ensure timely completion of work orders.

• Must meet one of the following: 1 year facilities maintenance trade experience at electric boat; 3 years facilities maintenance experience with leadership in high-volume setting; 1 year EB experience and an Engineering degree in a related field.

Overview

2nd shift Operations Supervisor position is for the Facilities trade organization. This position is for the D501 Supervisor for Transfer Cars and MIP equipment which consists of Maintenance Machinists, and Electronics Mechanics.

This will consist of developing and scheduling daily/weekly workloads using CMMS, completing work orders in a timely manner, maintaining safety (JHA) and training programs, conducting preventative maintenance program of submarine transfer cars and utilizing process improvement programs.

Applicant will also be required to work with outside contractors and support other Facilities and Operations organizations to complete job tasks.

Qualifications

Experience:

• High School diploma or GED
• 5+ years’ experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining hydraulic systems/equipment

Must meet one of the following:

• Minimum 1 year facilities maintenance trade experience at electric boat
• Minimum of 3 year facilities maintenanceexperience and leadership experience in a high-volume setting
• Minimum of 1 year EB experience and an Engineering degree in a related field

Preferred Experience:

• EB or trade supervision is a plus
• 5+ years’ experience working in facility maintenance
• Basic electrical experience a plus
• technical certificate(s)
