Health Center Inc., Midtown Manhattan, is seeking a Facilities Supervisor to maintain the interior and exterior of the center and ensure safety and regulatory compliance. The role covers electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and building maintenance, with oversight of external contractors and energy management programs.
The ideal candidate has at least five years of supervisory experience, relevant licenses, and the ability to float to other health centers in Queens, Brooklyn, and Harlem when needed.

We are seeking a Facilities Supervisor for our Midtown location to ensure that the Health Center's interior and exterior are properly maintained and is compliant with safety guidelines.
Performs, manages, and supervises maintenance operations for interior and exterior of the center, including electrical, HVAC, plumbing, heating, cooling, structural, ground care, and other maintenance work necessary to maintain the center in an optimum and efficient condition
Maintains all distribution systems for electricity, water, steam, gas
Maintains and operates air conditioning, heating, ventilation, and refrigeration systems
Mains interior/exterior of building and grounds
Monitors and coordinates the services performed by outside contractors in accordance with all company approved contracts, leases, service agreements and warranties
Keeps all charts and records pertaining to heat, light, power, and costs of the center's maintenance
Plans, implements, and administers an effective preventative maintenance program in accordance with approved company procedures and good engineering practices as well as an energy management program
Assists in preparing all operating budgets and capital expenditures, as requested
Trains, supervises and evaluates all subordinates and assists in safety and emergency training of other employees
Assures operation of department is always in strict compliance with all company, state, and federal rules and regulations
Conducts continuing inspection of buildings and grounds to ensure compliance with Osha, Fire, and Safety laws.
Minimum of 5 years experience in similar type of role
Q-01 Certificate
License to operate low pressure boiler and HVAC plant
Mechanical training in boilers, plumbing, air conditioning, power and building construction
Knowledge of carpentry and painting
Supervisor experience with union workforce referred
Must be willing to float to other health centers in Queens, Brooklyn, and Harlem at an ad-hoc basis
