Job summary

McKesson in Clear Lake, IA is seeking a Facilities Operations Supervisor to lead maintenance in our automated pharmaceutical distribution center. This role supervises maintenance staff, supports automation systems, and ensures safety and regulatory compliance in a 24/7 environment.

The position requires night shifts (Sun-Thurs) with start times around 3:30–5:30 PM, and a preference for an associate degree. Candidates should have 2+ years in facilities or distribution operations and experience

• Oversee facility maintenance, automation equipment, conveyors, sortation systems, and material handling equipment.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, FDA, DEA, DOT, and facility safety requirements.
• Manage facility projects, contractor relationships, and vendor performance.
• Oversee security systems, preventative maintenance programs, and facility audits.
• Manage MRO inventory, budgets, and resource planning.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives that improve safety, reliability, and operational performance.

Current Need

This role is responsible for supervising maintenance personnel, ensuring regulatory compliance, supporting automation systems, and driving operational excellence in a 24/7 environment.

Key Responsibilities

Minimum Requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of PLCs, warehouse control systems, and industrial automation equipment.
• Experience with electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and building systems.
• Strong problem-solving, project management, and vendor management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CMMS platforms.

Education

• Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

Working Conditions

• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call support as needed.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and work in an industrial distribution environment.
