Job summary

Home of Guiding Hands in Imperial Valley is seeking an experienced Facilities Supervisor to oversee our facilities and properties across the Imperial Valley. This is a hands-on role requiring troubleshooting, coordinating contractors, and leading maintenance staff to keep buildings safe and functional.

You will serve as the primary on-site facilities resource, manage work orders, inspect completed work, and ensure repairs are resolved before closing them out.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Five+ years of progressively responsible facilities maintenance, construction, or property maintenance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day maintenance and facilities needs across assigned properties.
• Troubleshoot plumbing, basic electrical, lighting, doors, locks, appliances, HVAC, and other building issues.
• Perform or coordinate general repairs, including minor carpentry, drywall, painting, flooring, and installations.
• Lead and provide direction to Facilities Technicians and other assigned personnel.
• Manage and prioritize work orders and preventative maintenance.
• Coordinate contractors, vendors, repairs, inspections, and property projects.
• Support construction, renovations, tenant improvements, and property upgrades.
• Inspect completed work and ensure issues are resolved before closing out.

Are you the person everyone calls when something needs to be fixed, figured out, or handled?

Home of Guiding Hands is looking for an experienced Facilities Supervisor to help oversee our facilities and properties throughout the Imperial Valley. This is a great opportunity for someone who knows buildings, enjoys troubleshooting, can lead others, and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves and get hands-on when needed.

This is not a desk-only supervisor position. One day you may be troubleshooting a maintenance issue, and the next you could be coordinating contractors, walking a renovation project, inspecting a property, or making sure an urgent repair gets handled correctly.

What You'll Do

You will be the primary on-site facilities resource for our Imperial Valley locations and will work closely with our Facilities Manager to keep our properties safe, functional, secure, and well maintained.

You will:

• Oversee day-to-day maintenance and facilities needs across assigned properties
• Troubleshoot plumbing, basic electrical, lighting, doors, locks, appliances, HVAC, and other building issues
• Perform or coordinate general repairs, including minor carpentry, drywall, painting, flooring, and installations
• Lead and provide direction to Facilities Technicians and other assigned personnel
• Manage and prioritize work orders and preventative maintenance
• Coordinate contractors, vendors, repairs, inspections, and property projects
• Support construction, renovations, tenant improvements, and property upgrades
• Inspect completed work and make sure issues are actually resolved before closing them out
• Identify safety concerns and help keep our facilities compliant and ready for the people we serve

We're Looking for Someone Who...

Knows how to see a problem, assess it, prioritize it, and get it handled.

The ideal candidate has experience in facilities maintenance, building maintenance, construction, property maintenance, or a related field. We're especially interested in someone who has experience leading maintenance staff or coordinating contractors and vendors.

You'll stand out if you have experience with:

• Plumbing and general building repairs
• Basic electrical troubleshooting
• Commercial HVAC or air conditioning
• Construction or renovation projects
• Carpentry, drywall, painting, or flooring
• Preventative maintenance
• Managing vendors and contractors
• Leading or coordinating maintenance teams

Commercial HVAC experience is strongly preferred.

What You'll Need

High school diploma or GED is required. Five or more years of progressively responsible facilities, maintenance, construction, or property maintenance experience is preferred. You'll also need a valid California driver's license and the ability to travel throughout the Imperial Valley and other HGH locations as needed.

This is an active, hands-on position that includes indoor and outdoor work, using tools and equipment, climbing ladders, and frequently lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.
