Job summary

Saracen Casino Resort is seeking a dedicated facilities maintenance and landscaping team member to care for exterior grounds, perform routine repairs, and operate lawn care equipment. This role supports guest experience by keeping outdoor spaces safe, clean, and well-maintained.

The position requires a High School diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 100 lbs. Flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to operate mowers, tractors, trimmers, weed eaters, snow blowers and drive a pickup with standard transmission.
• Valid operator’s license required.
• Applicants must have a safe driving record acceptable to our liability insurer.
• Excellent communication skills required; ability to write routine correspondence.
• Ability to interact well with customers and employees; resolve problems diplomatically.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all landscapes, grounds, parking lot and sidewalks, ensuring appearance, safety and cleanliness.
• Operate equipment for exterior and interior maintenance as needed.
• Assist in repairs of sprinklers, fences, signs, and asphalt/concrete surfaces.
• Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.

Maintain all exterior landscaping, grounds, parking lot and sidewalks. Operates all equipment necessary for exterior and interior work. Assists Tech I and Tech II’s during each shift. All functions will be performed within the guidelines of the Saracen Casino Resort policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards and objectives.

Essential Functions And Responsibilities

• Maintains all landscapes, including trimming trees and other gardening work to ensure appearance, safety and cleanliness.
• Maintains exterior grounds, including painting of curbs, signs, etc., fixing signs and repairing fences to ensure appearance, safety and cleanliness.
• Removes snow and de-ices road and sidewalk surface to ensure safety and convenience of guests and employees.
• Repairs asphalt and concrete surfaces.
• Assists in repairs to the sprinkler systems.
• Empties trash receptacles on exterior grounds.
• Assists in the general maintenance of the interior and exterior of the casino including repairing, altering or reconstructing equipment and facilities, using appropriate material, supplies or parts.
• Adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies in an ethical manner
• Assists with repairs and maintenance on equipment.
• Provides exceptional customer service to all patrons and communicates in a pleasant, friendly and professional manner at all times. Maintains a professional work environment with supervisors and staff.
• Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
• Attend all necessary training meetings.
• Assist in other projects, as directed.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the essential duties and responsibilities satisfactorily.

• Must be a minimum of 21 years of age or older upon employment.
• High school diploma or its equivalency required.
• Knowledge of operation of mowers, tractors, trimmers, weed eater, snow blowers and drive pick-up truck with standard transmission.
• Valid operator’s license.
• Applicants must be able to substantiate a safe driving record within the parameters acceptable to our liability insurance carrier.
• Must possess excellent communication skills.
• Ability to write routine correspondence and to speak effectively to the public, employees and customers.
• Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees.
• Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
• Must be able to be approved for and maintain a valid Saracen Nation license.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Must be able to respond to visual and oral cues.
• Work nights, weekends and holidays as required.
• Employment is contingent upon a favorable outcome of a background investigation and drug screening.
