Overview

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (GD-OTS) is seeking an experienced Facilities Specialist I to join our Lincoln, NE team. We are expanding rapidly and seek motivated, creative individuals to support and shape our organization.

GD-OTS provides reliable, affordable composite products to the defense and aerospace markets. With over 60 years of expertise, we design, develop, manufacture, and test a range of composite missile and space structures, including rocket motors, pressure vessels, launch tubes, and fuel tanks.


Major Position Responsibilities
  • Ensure buildings, equipment, and grounds are maintained and functioning properly.
  • Oversee daily maintenance to keep property in good condition.
  • Troubleshoot and perform repairs or coordinate maintenance with outside contractors.
  • Act as liaison between employees and contractors for specialized issues.
  • Maintain records of equipment performance and maintenance.
  • Draft and implement preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Interact with tenants to fulfill lease requirements and respond to service requests.

Manager Specific Requests:

  • Order and manage inventory of spare parts using software.
  • Generate reports on metrics and department statistics.
  • Stock spare parts and maintain stocking systems for reliable machine operation.
  • Review and adjust equipment documentation for accuracy.
  • Support equipment implementation and startup documentation processes.
  • Manage changes within the CMMS to ensure accuracy and support equipment reliability.
  • Assist in scheduling and assigning Work Orders using CMMS, collaborating with supervisors and team leads.
  • Familiarity with CMMS and spare part management software.
  • Maintain tracking spreadsheets to support equipment operation and project success.
Basic Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree in Facilities, Maintenance, or related field with 0-3 years of relevant experience, or equivalent education/experience.
  • Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Facilities, Maintenance, or related field.
