An established industry player is seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to join their team. This role involves performing a variety of complex duties related to the maintenance and repair of city buildings and facilities, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently. Facilities Construction & Remodel:
Performs a variety of complex, skilled duties related to the construction, maintenance, and repair of city buildings and facilities, including backup power systems, switching equipment, light fixtures, and mechanical apparatus such as motors, belts, and pulleys to ensure proper operation.
Inventory Monitoring:
Monitors typical inventory requirements for ongoing projects and obtains tools from storage areas as needed to perform tasks.
Ongoing Maintenance & Prevention:
Performs preventive maintenance on facility systems and equipment, including boilers, domestic hot water systems, pumps, utility systems, and athletic facilities.
Performs general maintenance on various types of buildings, equipment, and systems, such as motors, pumps, valves, bearings, switches, relays, lighting fixtures, and structural repairs like drywall, painting, and caulking.
Performs installation and repair of plumbing piping and fixtures, ensuring proper pump sizing, routine plumbing tasks, drain cleaning, and assisting tradesmen in plumbing work.
Performs general carpentry, maintains and fabricates woodwork, repairs furniture, and assists in lock repairs and replacements.
Monitors the safety standards of buildings and facilities, making recommendations for replacements or upgrades to comply with safety codes and regulations.
