Position Summary:
Responsible for the day-to‑day housing facilities relatedassessment, emergencies, preventative drills, inspections,inventory management, and follow‑up.
Salary & Benefits:
Minimum starting salary of $42,800, commensurate withexperience.

Primary Duties:
- Support institution/division/department mission, vision, andvalues.
- Assess and maintain inventory and provide repair andreplacement recommendations for items such as common areafurniture/equipment, room/apartment furniture, and stafffurniture.
- Establish contacts and relationships with vendors forselection, ordering, installation, replacements, repairs,donations, and other maintenance of FFE in the housing system
- Work with the Assignments Team to add and reduce sets offurniture based on occupancy needs.
- Coordinate semesterly building walk-throughs and room/apartmentinspections with Residence Life staff. Perform regular buildinginspections and maintain accurate records and reports.
- Report policy/procedure violations to appropriate staff andrecommend edits to the HRL Community Living Standards to supervisoras appropriate.
- Assist with damage and fee spreadsheet, updating and refiningthe list on a yearly basis
- Coordinate and implement Health and Safety checks during Falland Winter semesters.
- Run point with GVPD, Allendale Fire, and Res. Life for firedrills on the Valley campus.
- Assist with sustainability initiatives within housing forrecycling and energy conservation.
- Liaison to Facilities Services for floods, fire damage, mold,pest concerns, preventative maintenance, etc., connecting withresidents, staff and contractors as appropriate.
- Oversee the Winter Hall fitness center equipment; schedulingrepairs, maintaining condition, and ordering replacement parts andmachines as needed.
- Assist with the opening and closing procedures relative tofacility use, to include training on the completion of HousingCondition Summaries and auditing/assessment of building/unitdamages.
- Assist with IT inventory, tracking and removal.
- Assist with Camps and Conference operations as able, utilizingstudent staff for furniture moves/adjustments, providing bins,hanging shower curtains, etc.
- Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate assigned staff, fosteringa culture of mentorship and professional growth.
- Instruct employees in proper receiving and delivery proceduresas well as safety measures.
- Performs other duties as required/assigned by manager.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Bachelor's degree.
- Experience training, mentoring, or supervising teammembers.
- Minimum of one year experience of related work experienceand/or relevant training.
- Demonstrated experience to successfully maintain positiveintercultural and interpersonal relationships.
- Demonstrated experience to successfully work under pressure andmeet deadlines.
- Demonstrated experience in creative problem solving.
- Demonstrated experience to successfully provide qualitycustomer service.
- Demonstrated experience to successfully maintain satisfactorywork performance.
- Demonstrated experience in organization and attention todetail.
- Demonstrated experience with a variety of computer softwareapplications (examples: SQBX, THD, Microsoft and Googleprograms).
- Demonstrated experience to successfully work independently,organize own work and coordinate work activities of others.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- 3+ years related work experience.
- Experience working within a college or university housingsetting.
- Experience with GOFMX, Workday, and The Housing Director systems or equivalent.
- Experience in facilities emergency response and resolution,including customer service and vendor coordination.
- Experience with vendor relationship management.
