Job summary

YMCA of Southern Arizona is seeking a Facilities Specialist to support daily preventive maintenance, basic repairs, and safe, welcoming facilities for staff, members, and guests.

The role requires 3–5 years in facilities or related fields, with HVAC/plumbing/electrical experience and required CPR/AED and First Aid certifications within 30 days of hire. YMCA online training is also part of onboarding.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years of experience in facilities, maintenance or related field.
• Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• HVAC, plumbing, and electrical experience preferred.
• Certifications within 30 days: CPR/AED and First Aid.
• YMCA online training to be completed upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and model excellent customer service to create a welcoming environment for staff, members, and guests.
• Perform day-to-day preventive maintenance and complete work orders for YMCA facilities.
• Respond to safety concerns and enforce YMCA safety policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with leadership to maintain fiscal integrity across the association.
• Assist with ordering, transporting and stocking related supplies; keep equipment organized.
• Coordinate annual inspections and assist with large facility projects as assigned.
