Job summary

Uline's Connecticut Branch in Plainfield, CT is hiring a Facilities Specialist to help keep our NEW warehouse in Plainfield a beautiful place to work. Pay from $29 to $36 per hour and a $5,000 new-hire bonus.

Responsibilities include routine maintenance of building systems, lighting, HVAC, doors and locks, fire protection, plumbing, and office workstations. All positions are on-site at our Connecticut facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 3+ years of maintenance experience in plumbing, electrical, HVAC or carpentry.
• Ability to troubleshoot and complete projects in a timely manner.
• Valid driver's license and ability to lift up to 70 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and minor building projects.
• Maintain electrical lighting, HVAC and generator systems.
• Repair doors, locks and reconfigure office workstations.
• Inspect and test fire protection systems.
• Maintain plumbing fixtures and restroom facilities.
• Support general facilities improvements and upkeep.

Position Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and work on minor building, painting and alteration projects.
• Maintain electrical lighting, large-scale HVAC and generator systems.
• Adjust, maintain and repair exterior and interior doors and locks.
• Inspect and test fire protection systems.
• Maintain plumbing fixtures and repair restroom facilities.
• Install and reconfigure office workstations and repair furniture and woodwork.

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of maintenance experience in plumbing, electrical, large-scale HVAC systems or carpentry.
• Skilled in troubleshooting and completing projects in a timely manner.
• Ability to lift and / or move up to 70 lbs.
• Valid driver's license.
