Position Summary
The Facilities & Shipping Technician is responsible for aiding in scheduling vendor services, performing minor repairs and maintenance of all company facilities, including retail branches and corporate office buildings, and responsible for aiding in receiving incoming mail/packages/indirect loan documents, tracking them, and distributing them to the appropriate location/person. This role will fall into one or more fields (electrical, air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, etc.). In addition, this role will act as the third point of contact for emergency situations that affect all Amplify locations and the ability to open for business. This position is required to be on-site daily.
RESPONSIBILITIES Include The Following. Other Duties As Assigned.
- Aids in receiving deliveries; logs and distributes to appropriate location, department and/or person
- Inspects buildings and other structures to determine functional systems and detect malfunctions and issues needing repair or maintenance; makes notes related to any issues discovered and shares that information with the Director
- Aids in receiving postal mail; Delivers outgoing mail to the Post Office as needed and makes UPS/FedEx runs as needed
- Records inner/outer office tracking of mail, packages, and deliveries for all departments
- Performs minor electrical and plumbing maintenance, including but not limited to replacement or repair of incandescent and fluorescent bulbs and tubes, ballast, sockets, fuses, minor appliances, leaks in drains and faucets, unclogging of drains, replacing water filters in refrigerators and water fountains
- Aids in monitoring contractor performance and works closely with outside vendors and contractors to ensure work is completed accurately, timely, and on budget according to specifications
- Assists with maintaining building security and immediately responds to building emergencies on a 24-hour basis
- Works independently to complete daily work lists provided by the Director while maintaining communication of progress and needs; Responds timely to e-mails and phone requests from manager and employees
- Aids in overseeing the maintenance of the company vehicles; ensures the inspection, oil changes, and other maintenance items are completed on time and that vehicle cleanliness is maintained
- Works with ticketing work order system and the Building Automation System (BAS)
- Upholds credit union policies and procedures and champions organizational culture both internally and externally

Education And/or Experience
High school diploma, general education degree (GED), or technical school certificate and three years of facilities-related experience conducting repairs in minor electrical and plumbing, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have 3 years of experience with HVAC installation and completing basic HVAC repairs and maintenance. Must have 2 years of experience performing mail operations and/or courier services as well as experience operating a motor vehicle (truck or van) for work.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Must have an active Class B HVAC license, a valid Texas Driver License, and a clear driving record (no moving violations). Must be bondable by a credit union and insurable for operating a motor vehicle.
Software And Equipment Requirements
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have knowledge of and be proficient in the use of a personal computer and Microsoft Office software. Minimal experience with CAD software preferred with the ability to read and understand facility drawings.
Other Qualifications
Must be able to work flexible hours to aid with the work that vendors may have to conduct outside of normal company operational hours.

Starting Pay & Benefits
This role offers base pay of $28-$30 per hour. It also entails the benefits available to all Amplify employees.
Location
This role is required to be on-site daily at any and all of our physical locations (La Frontera, Esperanza, Pond Springs, Cedar Park, and Parmer HQ).
