Job summary

Community College of Baltimore County (CCBC) Essex campus is seeking a General Services Associate for a full-time, 40-hour week. The role supports mail, central receiving and event set-up, and other facilities duties across campus locations.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma, valid driver's license, and ability to undergo background checks and health screenings. The position offers 403(b)/457(b) retirement options and paid leave benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Flexibility and ability to change shift when requested.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (fewer than five points).
• Ability to participate in bloodborne pathogens training within six months of employment.
• Hepatitis B vaccination or a signed waiver.

Responsibilities

• Participates in the mail operations, including pick-ups, sorting, interoffice/overnight/special mail campus delivery and the courier operations between the college campus locations.
• Assists college personnel in the accurate preparation of outgoing mailings, as necessary and requested.
• Operates campus vehicle to deliver equipment, furniture, materials and supplies to college locations.
• Performs routine set-up and breakdown of college furniture/equipment.
• Provides back-up support to other general services responsibilities.
• Participates in snow removal or duties as assigned in response to college emergencies.
• Follows county, state, college, and departmental policies and procedures.
