Job summary

Novva Data Centers in Reno, NV seeks an Operations and Security Technician to act as the first line of support for customers while maintaining physical security and facility reliability.

The role covers monitoring security, access control, and mechanical/power systems with routine rounds and prompt incident response. Training is provided and weekend 12-hour shifts are required in a rotating schedule.

Qualifications

• Must follow established processes and procedures.
• Track all work in a ticketing system with updates.
• Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
• Understand data centers and their role in the industry.
• Proficient with PC, Windows, and MS Office applications.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs as required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor onsite access activity via CCTV and access control software.
• Respond to alerts from system monitoring tools and escalate when needed.
• Identify critical issues with large-scale impact and escalate appropriately.
• Provide professional customer service and troubleshooting assistance.
• Support customers with service requests and incident handling.
• Respond to incidents and requests via phone and IT ticketing system.
• Understand basic Windows application troubleshooting principles.
• Provide support to internal teams and operations.
• Receive and offload facility deliveries.
