Job summary

Adams County Colorado is seeking a Facilities Security & Emergency Administrator to oversee security, fire/life/safety, and emergency planning across county facilities. You will coordinate with local, state, and federal partners, manage budgets, supervise security personnel, and develop response plans to safeguard employees, visitors, and assets.

The role requires strong leadership, regulatory knowledge, and the ability to act decisively during incidents, with a focus on compliance and readiness

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Emergency Management or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum four years of security, emergency management, or fire/life-safety experience in a government or large organization.
• Experience coordinating with local, state, and federal agencies.

Responsibilities

• Administer and oversee security operations for all facilities, including contract oversight and policy development.
• Coordinate emergency response strategies across fire, medical, active threat, and natural disaster scenarios; liaise with law enforcement.
• Lead Fire/Life Safety compliance, inspections, and corrective actions with regulatory bodies.
