Job summary

Pet Food Experts, LLC in Tacoma, WA is seeking a Facilities & Equipment Maintenance Associate to perform routine cleaning and maintenance across the facility, including trash, floors, restrooms, pallets, and barrels, while supporting safety and GMP compliance.

The schedule is Monday to Friday, 5am to 1:30pm, with a full benefits package, overtime pay, and perks such as safety footwear reimbursement and employee discounts. Lifting 30–40 lbs is required.

Qualifications

• Read, write and understand English.
• Good communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and time-management with the ability to multi-task.
• Work independently with minimal supervision and in a team.
• Some knowledge of GMP, food defense and food safety preferred.
• High school education or equivalent.
• Experience operating warehouse equipment (forklift, ride-on pallet jack) preferred.
• Food industry and audit experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the facility by supporting each department with sanitation and cleanliness needs.
• Perform duties on the Master Cleaning Schedule for daily, monthly, annual and as-needed tasks.
• Adhere to food safety and quality assurance policies and procedures.
• Complete cleaning schedule logs and equipment checklists.
• Perform minor repairs to equipment and light warehouse maintenance.
• Receive and perform additional cleaning/leveling assignments as necessary.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow safety procedures and GMP guidelines.
• Lifts 30-40 lbs frequently.
