Job summary

The Providence Center in Providence, RI is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to provide cleaning, sanitation, and light maintenance across the facilities to keep spaces safe and welcoming.

Responsibilities include maintaining cleaning supplies, cleaning interiors and exteriors, handling waste, assisting groundskeeping, and supporting equipment movement, all while delivering excellent customer service and working collaboratively with staff.

Qualifications

• High School or GED preferred.
• 2 years of experience in environmental services or housekeeping preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a cleaning cart in an orderly condition and stocked with supplies.
• Clean interior, exterior and garage areas and restrooms daily.
• Sweep, vacuum and wash floors and carpeting as needed.
• Handle waste disposal and recycling per policy.
• Assist in groundskeeping and snow removal as needed.
• Move and rearrange furniture and equipment for staff.
• Perform pest control prevention as directed.
• Follow safety policies and maintain a safe work environment.
