Job summary

Shirley Ryan AbilityLab is seeking an EVS Technician to maintain sanitary, orderly areas across patient rooms and facilities. You will mop, dust, vacuum, shampoo carpets and replenish supplies, contributing to a clean and welcoming environment for patients and staff.

Responsibilities include moving furniture, setting up rooms for meetings, and assisting with grounds tasks as needed. Strong teamwork and physical stamina are important in this healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow oral or written instructions.
• Knowledge of basic cleaning procedures.
• Ability to lift and move objects up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Performs general housekeeping: moping, dusting, vacuuming, carpet shampooing and related duties.
• Cleans and polishes sinks, tubs, mirrors; replenishes soap, towels, paper products.
• Strips, buffs and applies wax to floors in designated areas; cleans waste receptacles.
• Moves furniture/equipment to set up rooms and assist with grounds maintenance when needed.
