Job summary

Theraplant is seeking a Custodial & Sanitation Supervisor in Connecticut to lead the facility's custodial and sanitation program, ensuring a clean, safe, and compliant environment. You will manage daily operations, scheduling, inventory, and staff development while upholding quality standards.

You will collaborate with the Quality Manager and cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement, regulatory compliance, and a productive work culture. Weekend coverage may be required.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a custodial, sanitation, or maintenance environment.
• Extensive knowledge of custodial procedures, janitorial equipment, cleaning products, and MSDS.
• Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and team management skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage the Master Sanitation Schedule to ensure timely completion of all custodial activities.
• Oversee and participate in daily custodial and sanitation operations while ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Conduct routine inspections to verify facility cleanliness and sanitation standards.
• Identify sanitation issues and opportunities for improvement, escalating concerns to the Quality Manager as needed.
• Manage inventory and ordering of cleaning supplies, PPE, chemicals, and other sanitation-related materials.
• Maintain adequate inventory levels to support daily operations.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of sanitation products and chemicals.
• Provide leadership, supervision, scheduling, staffing, and workload management for custodial employees, including weekend coverage.
