BASIS Ed in Plano, Texas is seeking a Facilities Assistant to join our campus operations team. The role covers maintenance, safety, and event support to keep the facility running smoothly.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma (bachelor’s preferred), IVP clearance, and 2+ years in facilities. This on-site role requires reliability, problem-solving, and the ability to lift 25–50 lbs as needed.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred
• Must have IVP fingerprint clearance card
• 2+ years in facilities and building maintenance is expected

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs for plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and safety systems
• Respond to staff requests for maintenance and custodial services
• Coordinate third-party vendors for maintenance agreements and large repairs
• Ensure grounds are clean and free of litter
• Maintain files on work orders, proposals, and facilities documents
• Support school events with equipment and setup
• Act as campus safety manager for traffic and emergencies
• Maintain emergency preparedness program
• Assist Head of Operations on various projects
