Job summary

Ducommun Incorporated in Joplin, MO is seeking a Facilities Manager to lead maintenance and facility operations for aerospace/industrial manufacturing. The role requires a strong process-engineering background, 5–8 years in facility management or related engineering, and the ability to supervise a diverse maintenance team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering or facilities field is required.
• 5–8 years of experience in facility management, maintenance leadership or process/ops engineering.
• Certifications in facility or maintenance management are a plus (CFM/CMRP/FMP).
• Project management experience is advantageous (PMP).

Responsibilities

• Optimize workflows, maintenance, and facility layout using process engineering methods (Lean, Six Sigma).
• Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for recurring issues.
• Oversee HVAC, utilities, mechanical, electrical, and building systems.
• Develop and manage preventive, predictive, and reliability-centered maintenance programs.
• Ensure regulatory and safety compliance (OSHA, EPA, local codes).
• Direct and mentor maintenance technicians, planners and engineers.
• Plan budgets, track KPIs (MTTR, MTBF, cost per asset) and manage capital projects.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and external contractors to deliver projects on time.
• Protect and manage CUI information and ITAR/EAR/CMMC data as required.
