Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Science, or related Architectural Engineering discipline.
• Minimum of five (5) years in construction management, construction inspection, or construction supervision, preferably in educational facilities.
• Licenses or certification (e.g., State issued, ICC, IAPMO, NFPA) highly desirable.
• All UH System positions are security sensitive and require a criminal history check.

Responsibilities

• coordinates system-wide inspection processes, ensuring timely completion per inspection protocol.
• Perform jobsite walkthrough inspections to verify procedures and material conformance with contract specs.
• Create and maintain detailed inspection documentation (electronic and hard copy) and report on status and compliance.
• Communicate with clients, colleagues, and project team to meet scope and maintain core values.
• Identify discrepancies or conflicts within construction documents.
• Monitor safety and traffic control on sites and inform stakeholders of potential interruptions.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with contractors, subcontractors, and consultants.
• Oversee construction project closeout, including warranties, manuals, and completion verification.
• Perform other job-related duties as required.
