Job summary

Nightwing is seeking a dynamic Facilities and Project Site Lead in Sterling, VA to oversee day-to-day site operations and lead facility improvement projects. You will ensure safety, compliance, and efficiency while driving initiatives to enhance building systems and mission readiness.

The role requires 12+ years in facilities or related fields, with strong project management and vendor coordination. A TS/SCI with Poly clearance is required to succeed in this position at Nightwing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, facilities management, construction management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 12+ years of experience in facilities operations or engineering project management.
• Strong understanding of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety).
• Proven track record managing complex technical or infrastructure projects.
• Experience with project management tools (MS Project, JIRA).
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule preventive maintenance tasks and coordinate with vendors and facilities team.
• Oversee renovation projects ensuring timely delivery of functional spaces.
• Manage facility operations including maintenance, security, space planning, and vendor management.
• Lead site-level emergency preparedness, business continuity, and risk mitigation planning.
• Manage budgets, contracts, and procurement of services and supplies.
• Coordinate with internal departments to support workplace needs and site expansion.
• Supervise on-site facility staff and service providers.
• Monitor building systems for operational efficiency.
• Lead cross-functional technical projects involving engineering, IT, construction, or infrastructure upgrades.
• Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and resource plans aligned with organizational goals.
• Track progress and report status to senior stakeholders; mitigate risks.
