Job summary

The University of Chicago is seeking a Project Manager for the CPD group to oversee capital development projects from planning through turnover. You will manage budgets, schedules, and cross-disciplinary teams to ensure projects meet design objectives and campus needs.

Responsibilities include coordinating with consultants, managing stakeholder communications, and guiding project documentation and approvals through closeout. Experience in large facilities and complex MEP systems is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or related degree in construction management, building industry related engineering, or architecture.
• Seven years' experience in planning, design, construction, and project management related duties and activities.
• Experience with design and construction of building and/or infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage project planning process including scope confirmation and on-site assessments to inform decisions.
• Develop master project budgets and schedules in support of capital planning.
• Review programming requirements including infrastructure, MEP systems, and utilities.
• Ensure budget, schedule, scope, standards, and quality are within requirements.
• Coordinate with consultants to identify value opportunities and manage necessary contracts.
