Job summary

The City of Waco is seeking a Facilities Project Manager to lead renovation and construction projects for city facilities and building systems. You will coordinate with design and engineering consultants, manage contracts, budgets, schedules, and scope, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in construction, project management, or related field and at least four years of relevant experience, plus a Texas driver’s license and background checks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Project Management, or related field with 4 years of construction/PM experience.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License.
• Must pass CJIS/federal background checks or other applicable screenings.

Responsibilities

• Manages renovation and construction of City facilities and building systems; coordinates work with design/engineering consultants and contractors; develops and manages project scope, specifications, schedules, and budgets.
• Maintains project files, documents, and records; prepares reports on program activities and performance.
• Manages emergency repair projects as needed; ensures safety rules and regulations are followed on work sites.
• Oversees contractors; reviews construction documents, expenditures, and reports to ensure compliance with project specifications and City policies.
