Job summary

Celestica Inc. in Richardson, TX is seeking a Facilities Technician to oversee complex infrastructure projects from inception to completion, acting as a technical lead for contractor selection and management.

You will work with management on site planning, identify risks, and ensure the facility remains safe, compliant, and efficient while coordinating multiple projects and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Three to six years of relevant experience.
• GED, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a construction trade environment
• Familiarity with NFPA 70e program for electrical safety in general.
• Ability to evaluate, diagnose and troubleshoot problems.
• Ability to manage several projects simultaneously and coordinate multiple deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Ensures the facility is compliant with all local and government regulations.
• Provides technical direction to facilities staff and directs non-routine work.
• Performs routine inspections of facility systems (HVAC, plumbing, water quality equipment).
• Responds to emergency repairs to minimize downtime and disruption to operations.
• Coordinates contract services, inspections and audits as necessary.
• Monitors and reports progress of projects, including safety, quality, schedule and budget.
