Job summary

The Electric Boat Groton shipyard is expanding, with ongoing renovations and new facilities under construction. A seasoned mechanical engineer in the Groton Facilities Engineering department will support maintenance and troubleshooting for 110+ year old shipyard facilities and new builds, while designing and executing infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or Facilities Engineering.
• 0–5 years of post graduate Engineering experience.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to facility and construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop scope of work and manage project documentation.
• Prepare bid documents and select vendors.
• Secure funding and prepare purchase requisitions.
• Ensure safety and environmental compliance.
• In-field project management of vendors and EB staff while tracking budget and schedule.
