Job summary

Walgreens in Deerfield, IL is seeking an Associate Program/Project Manager, Facilities, to help manage retail rollout projects or programs for a region. You will organize teams, identify risks, report to leadership, and oversee scope, scheduling, and budgets.

The role involves coordinating external consultants and trade partners, ensuring quality construction practices, and maintaining program health with status updates to stakeholders. In-person work for at least 4 days per week is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and at least 1 year of program, project and/or implementation management experience.
• 1 year of experience presenting and reporting on project and/or program plans to stakeholders and senior management.
• 1 year of experience applying project management methodologies and creating plans (SOW, cost estimates, schedule, etc.).
• 1 year of experience working on cross-functional teams across business units.
• 1 year of experience using project management software (MS Project or Projectmates).
• 1 year of experience building relationships with individuals at various levels.
• Proof of willingness to travel at least 10% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Manage multi-location store projects or programs including fixtures, remodels, or system upgrades.
• Inform stakeholders on project health, issues, risks, and needs.
• Identify needs, evaluate solutions, and improve customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate project plans, quality control, and lessons learned.
• Maintain project administration, safety, and continuous improvement practices.
• Keep within budget and ensure resources meet stakeholder needs.
• Oversee project close-out activities in a timely manner.
• Identify risks and help manage changes with execution teams.
• Ensure adherence to Walgreens’ project standards and PM methodology.
• Promote use of online tools to share program health with stakeholders.
