Job summary

Fluidstack in Seattle is hiring for a Data Center Operations role focused on building and running the software layer over facility controls. You will design alarm pipelines, integrate plant data into a single queryable location, and automate safe responses to plant conditions.

You will work with Python or Go and OT data, applying knowledge of BACnet/Modbus/OPC-UA. This role emphasizes ownership, speed, and first-principles thinking in a high-scale data-center environment.

Qualifications

• You've written software against building or industrial controls: BACnet, Modbus, OPC-UA.
• You've fixed an alarm flood problem with engineering, not with acknowledgment fatigue.
• You respect the blast radius of touching live plant and design accordingly.
• You're fluent in Python or Go plus the messiness of OT data.
• Bonus: Data center BMS and EPMS. Ignition or Niagara. Time-series databases. Safety instrumented systems awareness.

Responsibilities

• Build and run the software layer over facility controls: BMS and EPMS integrations, alarm pipelines, and automated response.
• Write integrations against controls protocols so plant data lands in one queryable place.
• Build alarm rationalization and routing so operators see signal, not noise.
• Automate controlled responses to known plant conditions, safely, with rollback.
