Job Summary

Northrop Grumman seeks a Facilities Electrical Engineer to design power, controls, and process instrumentation per the NEC in hazardous classified locations. Responsibilities include cost estimation, troubleshooting, developing maintenance guidelines for industrial equipment, integrating and specifying electrical equipment for robotics, PLCs, servo drives, instrumentation and HVAC, creating logical electrical schematics, designing panel layouts, programming variable frequency drives, and participating in project management and cost estimating.

Responsibilities

• Design power, controls, and process instrumentation in accordance with the NEC.
• Provide detailed cost estimates for project design and implementation.
• Develop electrical maintenance guidelines for industrial equipment.
• Integrate and specify electrical equipment for robotics, PLCs, servo drives, instrumentation, and HVAC.
• Develop electrical schematics that are logical, well‑organized, and require few or no redlines.
• Design panel layouts that minimize space and comply with manufacturer specifications.
• Design, specify, and program variable frequency drives (VFD) for motor control applications.
• Specify CNC machinery and work with maintenance craftsmen to troubleshoot systems.
• Manage projects, including cost estimating and drafting detailed designs in AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Level2: BS in Electrical/Automation Engineering, 2years of industrial facility electrical design experience (or 0years with a master’s degree).

Salary & Benefits

Primary Level Salary Range:$79,300–$118,900. Secondary Level Salary Range:$98,400–$147,600. Salary is based on scope, responsibilities, experience, education, skills, and market conditions. Eligible for overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonuses, and possibly long‑term incentives for VP/Director positions.

Work Schedule
