Job Overview

Lead the execution and management of facilities projects that support both sustaining infrastructure and new project facilitation requirements. Design, maintain, and optimize electrical and mechanical systems within our facilities infrastructure, ensuring operational efficiency, safety, and regulatory compliance. Oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC, plumbing, lighting, medium‑to‑low voltage power distribution, and other critical infrastructure while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee maintenance, operation, repairs, and planning of facilities mechanical infrastructure to ensure maximum safety and building uptime.
  • Identify and implement preventative and predictive maintenance plans to achieve lowest cost of ownership while maintaining reliability.
  • Develop strategic replacement plans for outdated equipment to address excessive maintenance, improve energy efficiency, and establish consistency of equipment across the site.
  • Perform problem‑solving, troubleshooting, and root‑cause analysis.
  • Prepare training documents and operational SOPs for facility processes and equipment.
  • Partner with Facility Maintenance groups to develop process improvements for equipment uptime and reliability.
  • Gather, analyze data, and develop reports, presentations, and recommendations for facilities system improvement.
  • Conduct engineering assessments and provide guidance on equipment and systems selection and implementation for facility and utility improvements.
  • Manage facility projects to ensure proper operations and maintenance of mechanical, fire life safety, exhaust, and applicable control systems.
  • Evaluate existing and new technologies to reduce operating costs and improve reliability.
  • Prepare scopes of work (SOWs) and supporting documents for procurement of design and construction services.
  • Generate cost estimates for projects, equipment replacements, and other system improvements.
  • Coordinate with architecture/engineering firms on design criteria and layout/detail drawings.
  • Check design deliverables for compliance with industry codes, standards, contract requirements, and company standards.
  • Review designs and challenge assumptions.
  • Scope compliance, capacity, redundancy, and cost‑saving projects conceptually.
  • Provide dynamic collaboration as a technical expert with teams from manufacturing to construction, operations, and executive stakeholders.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) with 5+ years of related facilities experience, or 3+ years with an MS Degree in STEM.
  • Experience supporting a large manufacturing facility.
  • Ability to interpret building and utility drawings and make required revisions.
  • Experience developing and updating preventive and predictive maintenance initiatives.
  • Experience in project management and general construction processes.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project).
  • U.S. citizenship.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to conduct site visits, perform field measurements, and update as‑built drawings.
  • Ability to advocate a safe, secure, and ethical working environment complying with federal, state, and local regulations (OSHA, EPA, ISO, DOT, permits, etc.) and company policies.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 7 years of experience in facility engineering with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience with management of design contracts and/or design reviews.
  • Experience in developing project statements of work and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of California Code and Regulatory requirements.
  • Experience using a CMMS (e.g., Maintenance Connection).
  • Experience using BIM software – Revit.
Salary and Benefits

Salary range: $98,900.00 – $148,300.00. Employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonus, and, for VP or Director positions, long‑term incentives. Benefits include health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, company‑paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and personal business.
